Tithe Barn Primary School
Tithe Barn School created a new build Global Citizen Centre
(GCC) to include an ultra modern IT suite, with additional quiet
zones and an interactive lecture area. Innova played a large part
in the design and layout for interior fittings and fixtures.
- Innova designed innovative custom workstations for the new IT
suite, housing new flat screen monitors and hidden fixtures.
- Each unit was designed to encourage interaction with an
individual self learning approach.
- A dedicated area for special needs was also part of the overall
design; this took the form of two separate pc areas and quiet zones
to assist with learning.
- The seating was designed to be easily adjustable to different
heights by simply removing the seat and turning the frame through
90 degrees. See image 2
- The result is a fun and dynamic learning environment that is
the envy of nearby schools.
"Innova provide a superb all round package and I highly
recommend them to any company wishing to redesign their working
space"

Flixton School for Girls Food
Technology Room
The school required a dual purpose space that could be used for
both practical and theory based work for the refurbishment of an
existing textiles room. Innova created a 'bay' design to enable
students to carry out practical work in their 'own' area, hence
ensuring easy room management.
All utilities (gas, electrical and water) to the room were
managed by Innova thus ensuring adequate supply and performance
with all services hidden to improve health and safety.
Use of hard wearing Trespa and aluminium accents to the
furniture and stainless steel appliances gave a professional
kitchen feel to a once dull space.
"It was extremely easy working with Innova. We were working
under very tight timeframe and budget and Innova delivered as
promised. The designs were excellent, in particular the hair salon
which is turning out to be our school showcase. Any concerns that I
had during the process were dealt with promptly and efficiently.
Communication prior to and during the works was excellent. The
Innova representatives were extremely knowledgeable and provided
guidance on specific areas in line with health and safety
regulations. I felt totally confident in their ability throughout
the projects.
I would not hesitate to consider using Innova for future
projects within the school."
Ruth Bancroft, Business Director,
Flixton Girls School
Sale Grammar School Food Technology
Innova designed, manufactured and fitted the furniture, fixtures
and fittings (FF&e) for this large Food Technology space.
Trespa surfaces were installed with brushed steel accents
providing a modern look and feel. The design provided ample space
for both theory and practical sessions and importantly ensured
maximum storage space and sinks for washing up.
Flixton Girls School Hair Salon - Hair and
Beauty
A relatively new subject for schools, Hair and Beauty is fast
becoming a chosen subject for both BTEC First Certificate and
Diploma courses.
Flixton Girls High School decided to introduce both Hair &
Beauty and Office Skills not only to increase students confidence,
learning and organisational skills but also to enhance their
employability in the future.
The new hair salon facility in the Training Ground "is
fantastic" and the school's first cohort of students to
follow their Hair & Beauty course are thoroughly enjoying
getting to grips with washing and styling!
"The easy to maintain surfaces, quality interiors and energy
saving controls have really improved the environment for all."
Pauline Bowden, Head Teacher,
Brookhead Primary School
"….a fantastic transformation and all completed within the
timescales too."
Andy Ablet, Site Manager, Reddish
Vale Technology Centre
Urmston Language Laboratory
Having received several professional
quality refurbishments from Innova, the
school requested that the same methodology and attention to
detail was applied to the language department.
Multiple groups reciting languages at the same
time was a problem solved by creating individual
pods using sound deadening materials which worked to reduce sound
transference around the room.
Thin net client PC machines were mounted into the furniture to
help students visually as well as aurally through the attached
headphones. The use of metallic surfaces with bold accent colours
and multicultural wall graphics come together to create a modern
and practical communal learning environment.
"Ideas and products that work, knowledgeable staff……always on
hand to manage the project - thank you for a job well done."
Alice Lees, Bursar, Little Moss
